Successful ESOC with SPORTident
Ski Orienteering championships in Turkey? That was unimaginable for many until the beginning of February. Now it belongs to history. This were the most southern Ski Orienteering Championship for Europe – held in Asia. It took place at the edge of an extraordinary plateau at about 2000 m altitude in the east of Turkey. 100 participants from 15 European countries competed for the coveted titles.
The Turkish Orienteering Federation as the organiser of ESOC decided to use SPORTident AIR+ as identification and timing system. After some weeks of preparation one of the SPORTident experts support the events on site.
Together with the local organizing team we are very proud when looking at the high technical level of the championships. And after one week full of exciting competitions with the relay decision on top finally the loop antenna could be dug out of the snow. All the time it had reliably registered the finish times of the athletes.
